The Queensland Government's Diverse Queensland Workforce Program focuses on making Queensland's workforce more inclusive by offering services such as skills, career advice and nationally recognised training to assist migrants, refugees, and international students into employment. Employers benefit by gaining access to candidates with a broader range of skills and experiences.
The program targets work ready migrants or refugees (including temporary visa holders with necessary work permits), and international students aged 18 years and over who are unemployed or underemployed. The selection of participants is at the discretion of the funded organisation and the program is delivered at no cost to participants.
The program can connect employers with local migrants, refugees and international students looking for work. The program is delivered on the Gold Coast by:
